This was my first time having Jamaican food, and we’re lucky to have Yaso in Indy!! I tried the jerk chicken, beef patty and curry chicken. All were deliciously savory. I really enjoyed the cabbage that comes with each meal. My orders weren’t overly salty, and well balanced.
Try some of the Jamaican bottled juices too!
It's hard to find good Jamaican food in St Louis so it was a surprise when we were told about this spot. The Ox Tail were the only thing we tried and they were very good. Tender and tasty. The bathroom is clean and it didn't take long for our meals.
First time eating Jamaican food on the states. It was amazing on the island and I've craved it ever since my last visit. I cannot begin to express how amazing the food was! The jerk pork steak melted off the bone with every fork tear. A plastic fork! It was that tender! We were also blessed to be here on Sunday when they have the jerk pot roast. Every bit as tender but even more flavorful than the steak! I even devoured every bit of the steamed cabbage, wishing I had more! I took the remaining stewed juices and shoveled my beans and rice into it to absorb every flavor molecule I could! If you love amazing food I highly recommend Yaso!
Yaso Jamaican Grill hit the spot for lunch. I didn’t know about it before my colleagues told me about this Jamaican spot close to our office. I saw their plate and headed straight out the door to go over there and get mine. Service was friendly and helpful since it was my first time. The food was delicious and the prep time was acceptable. I had the jerk chicken dark meat meal with the beans & rice, cabbage, and plantains. It was a good size portion for lunch. I had the mild and sweet sauce on the side. I had the happy juice with mango added. I highly recommend Yaso’s to be an option in your list of places for lunch, or any meal.

The wife and I hit up Yaso Jamaican Grill for the first time. It may have been my first time ever having Jamaican food as well and I don't know why it's taken me so long to finally eat Jamaican food. I also don't know why we keep going for the non-photogenic Styrofoam food, first it was Yats then it was The TRAP, and now it's Yaso. No offense to any of them but I sincerely don't know which of the 3 is the least photogenic but what matters is how they taste, they're all top notch and just good comfort food IMHO.
I tell you what, Yaso has got it going on! They have a nice menu, anything from chicken curry to steamed snapper, to oxtail.
Get your royal rassafarian nay-nays over to Yaso like yesterday and get you some of the good stuff!
The food is delicious and seasoned to perfection. I ordered the curry chicken and it was tender and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. Great for single meals and catering! This is the only jerk restaurant I go to in Indy.
Super tender ox tail. Rice may contains spices/coconut oil, which makes it so tasty with the sauce especially. Entire restaurant is extremely clean and tidy.
